F Dick 12.75" Chef Hand Forged Carbon Steel 1950s 60s
F Dick 12.75" hand forged after drop forged carbon steel chef knife made in the 1950s or 60s most likely. Blade and tang taper very dramatically from the bolster giving this knife a great balance, it is very thin at the tip half and very substantial at the heel.
Ebonized walnut or pear wood handle is riveted in nickel and is nice and secure with the original F Dick arrow logo embossed
Blade has been thinned following its original geometry, a classic old German grind with a lot of convexity behind the edge dipping in a little at the spine along the thinner tip half of the blade, it is designed to be sharpened along this convexity to zero with little microbevel, it currently has a little microbevel.
12.75" cutting edge, a little over 2 3/4" wide at heel 18.25" overall length 20.2 oz
