Godo Tadaharu Niigata 165mm Single Bevel Nata 490g Cherry

From Niigata these hand forged laminated tool steel and mild steel nata are great old style Japanese tools. Not quite a machete, not quite a hatchet but with lots of overlapping between the tasks that would be asked of either of those tools. The hagane (cutting edge steel) is a bit softer than kitchen knives but still relatively hard, making these tools incompatible with hitting very hard surfaces or twisting in a cut on hard woods.
